“Matthew Fonken officially jumped into the race for Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District this past Saturday. The longtime Democratic organizer announced his campaign from the Hunter Creek Trailhead…Fonken grew up in Arkansas as the son of postal workers. He moved to Nevada and worked on presidential campaigns and healthcare advocacy. He served as an attaché in the Nevada Assembly and led the Nevada State Democratic Party as Executive Director.
